This classic combination of Brussel sprouts and crispy bacon, with the addition of Lime EVOO, will become your new favorite side!
Ingredients
Pukara Estate Lime Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pinch of Pukara Estate Pepper and Olive Smoked Salt Flakes
1 ½ cups Brussel sprouts
Bacon, diced
Grated Pecorino cheese
Method
Chop the Brussel sprouts in half and wash them thoroughly.
Steam for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
Place the sprouts into a bowl, sprinkle with salt, and drizzle with Lime EVOO.
In a pan, cook the bacon to your liking, then add the sprouts and fry until slightly charred.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with grated Pecorino cheese.
Tip: Add toasted almonds or pine nuts for extra crunch.
